Why We Should Give TREASURE a Chance?

I am writing this to celebrate my very first TREASURE comeback as a newly born Teume. Their 3rd mini album, LOVE PULSE, was freshly released on September 1st, 2025 (Monday) at 6PM KST (5PM Malaysia time). It’s been a while since I last joined thousands of fans waiting excitedly for the premiere comeback of a K-pop group. My heart was racing during the countdown T_T
As someone who’s just joined a K-pop fandom called Treasure Maker – TEUME, I’m super excited to write about my almost unwavering love for TREASURE. While waiting for BTS to make their comeback next year, I suddenly found myself hooked on Treasure instead. Haihh~ let this fangirl’s heart take a break, I whispered to myself.
But know this, Treasure is a group that truly deserves the spotlight. I can honestly say they’re so underrated, even though their songs are seriously good! And the best part is, most of their songs are shaped by the members themselves through writing, composing, and contributing creatively. That's the major factor why TREASURE should be noticed and appreciated more by the K-pop fans around the world.

Not only in singing and making music, but they’re also super entertaining. Even way before their debut, they spoiled fans with so much content on YouTube and other platforms. They’re just so random and funny- help! haha. Their chaotic energy, random moments, and unfiltered humor never fail to put a smile on my face. Honestly, they’re the kind of group that can brighten your day without even trying.
I first started by watching their web drama series on YouTube. They have a few, and not gonna lie, some are kinda cringe haha but well, they’re singers, not actors, so what was I even expecting, kan? Still, 100% respect for the effort.
Then I went on to binge the whole Treasure Map series, and after that, SUMBAKKOKJIL, the Mnet horror reality show. I just cannot! these boys are such scaredy-cats on Treasure Map. Some of them got so scared they even cried hahaha! I have no idea how YG managed to convince them to join that show. Super funny, seriously! So yeah, totally entertaining.

I continued watching more of their old videos on YouTube like behind the scenes of their MVs, their TMI logs, and then, oh gosh! they even joined a reality dating show called Shining Solo. Super cringe, and honestly, I felt kinda bad for them. These boys were still so young (and still are), majority of them introverts who’ve spent most of their lives surrounded by guys, and suddenly they’re told to join a dating show?! Hahaha. As Hyunsuk said himself, that reality show felt more like a survival show than a dating one! hahah!. But to think about it again, they actually worked really hard just to get more engagement for the group to be more recognized. Poor babies, but I guess it was worth it, because they keep getting bigger and bigger every year!.
Fast forward to this day, I got to celebrate their anniversary with the fandom for the very first time. It was their 5th debut anniversary on August 7, 2025. Honestly, I feel like just a tiny ant compared to the true Teumes who’ve been there since day one with Treasure. But still, I’m happy at least I found my Treasure, even if it was a little late. Hihi.

Since spending so much time with Treasure content starting from April 2025 (during the YELLOW era), I began discovering each member’s unique charms, and that’s when I realized I was slowly falling for all of them! Ngl, at first I thought some members wouldn’t be my faves just because of their “pretty faces.” I was a bit skeptical about idols who look super cute or pretty and seem like they’re just take the visuals part of the group. I even thought maybe they couldn’t sing live and were only there to look good. But nuh uh, I was so wrong! Each of them is actually amazing at singing. Even the rappers can sing so well! And they actually really can sing live beautifully. Their voices are raw and soooo gewwwwd!. Deep inside, I really want to go to their concert to experience the same air with them lol.

This album feels like my personal debut album with Treasure, since I’m such a new Teume and got so excited over this comeback. That’s why it holds such a special place in my heart and the songs here are no joke, they’re absolutely beautiful! BETTER THAN ME is my top fave, but honestly, every track has its own special room in my heart too!.
That’s all from me, just sharing a bit of my journey with Treasure. As a new Teume, it’s been such an exciting experience discovering their music, their personalities, and all the little things that make them special. What started with me casually watching their content has turned into something meaningful, and it sparks happiness that I found MY TREASURE (eventhough it’s quite a little late). I’m so excited to see what’s next for them and I’ll be here cheering them on.
